Fostoria Heirloom was a glass line made by Fostoria in their Moundsville, WV factory beginning in 1959 and continuing until 1970. There was one item, the ruby Heirloom bud vase, that was produced for the entirety of 1979 as a boxed item. No other Heirloom pieces were produced past 1970.
The glass line was available in White, Green, Pink, Blue, and Yellow opalescent colors, and in Ruby and Bittersweet (orange) non-opalescent colors. Some were produced longer than others.
Fostoria re-used old molds from the EAPG era, and created new molds for the Heirloom line, it's been fun to research and see the original pieces from the same molds my favorite pattern came from. Some of the molds could create multiple pieces, and some were only used for one. But to make it more fun, at least one piece was able to be used 2 ways.. more educational information will be available in this webpage as it grows.
